Embassies and Consulates.
International Presentations for Diplomats and Expatriates Living Abroad

I specialize in psychological and psychoanalytic care for communities abroad, with a specific focus on the challenges of expatriation. As a clinical psychologist, university professor, and expatriate with 17 years of intercultural experience, I have a deep understanding of the emotional, family, and cultural dynamics experienced by those who live outside their country of origin. My work is structured around three key dimensions of the adaptation process: the subjective or personal dimension (identity, grief management, and emotional regulation), the social and relational dimension (family relationships, building support networks, and preventing isolation), and the cultural dimension (culture shock, intercultural flexibility, and integration strategies). I offer practical tools and psycho-educational resources designed to strengthen mental health, promote resilience, and facilitate cultural adaptation processes in international contexts.

Through workshops and presentations aimed at Embassies, Consulates, and residents abroad, I provide spaces for awareness and prevention on specific issues related to the expatriation process: stress management, migratory grief, identity, social and interpersonal aspects, and culture shock.  These activities, which I have taught at various public institutions and diplomatic representations in countries such as Brazil, Switzerland, Canada, Italy, Ecuador, and Morocco, among others, are aimed at providing diplomatic staff, residents, and their families with self-care strategies and resources to navigate the migration process in the best possible way in the host country. Each intervention addresses the three dimensions: personal, social, and cultural in an integrated manner to promote comprehensive adaptation. The goal is to accompany expatriates in building sustainable emotional well-being, promoting their adaptation and resilience in the face of the changes and challenges involved in living far from home.
