ABOUT ME

A little about me: I am Alvar Mora Pereyra, a Spanish-Argentinean citizen born in Mexico. Growing up and moving from one country to another, in what some people call the expatriate life, has given me a unique perspective on the human experience.

Clinical Work:

A few years ago, I embarked on my journey into the field of Psychology, and as of 2021, I am a Licensed Psychologist in Argentina, holding the License No. 77690. My therapeutic approach is Psychoanalysis Therapy, with a specialized focus on Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Stress Management, and the Expatriation Process. Currently, I am immersed in a Clinical Rotation as a Psychologist at the Hospital General de Agudos Dr. Fernández, one of the most prestigious Hospitals in the country..

Trainings:

In addition to my clinical work, I extend my expertise to stress management training programs tailored for diverse audiences, including Medical Institutions, Businesses, Veterans, and Women Victims of Abuse. Book and Lectures:

My professional journey took root in 2016 while residing in New York, where I published my first book, "1000 Voices." This trilingual book (Spanish, English, and French) focuses on resilience in adolescents victims of abuse. To learn more about my book, please visit here.

Sharing my insights and experiences, I've had the privilege of lecturing at esteemed institutions such as the University de Belgrano and the University of Jujuy. My development as a Professor:

Continuing my journey, I relocated to Argentina to pursue a degree in Psychology, graduating cum laude in 2021. Since the beginning of 2021, I have served as a University Professor at my alma mater, teaching Professional Practice 1, Cultural and Subjectivity Productions, as well as Adult Clinical Psychology. Committed to continuous learning, I have undertaken various courses at the American Psychological Association (APA) and Harvard Medical School.
